During the Coronavirus, low income families can get the FREE Internet Essentials Service from Comcast for 2 months, if they qualify.
Starting March 16th, Comcast is offering 2 free months of their Internet Essentials to new customers.
They will also increase the speed of the program to 25 Mbs on downloads and 3 Mbps on uploads for all customers, new or existing.
They are taking steps to help the country out during this time, while many deal with the effects of Coronavirus (Covid-19). Making sure more families are connected to the internet at home is a priority.
This will help families working from home and children getting distance learning from home-schooling.
It is important to help flatten the curve and stay at home during this time.
From Comcast:
“After your first two free months expire, you can either cancel the service, which can be done any time, or keep it as a customer at a low rate of $9.95/month.
You will receive a self-install-kit that includes a cable modem (to receive service at your home) with a WiFi router (to connect your devices without wires).
There is no term contract or credit check and no shipping fee for equipment.”
