Right now Democrats new stimulus plan (coronavirus relief package) worth $2.4 trillion is being put together.
The coronavirus relief bill will include: unemployment benefits, direct payments (stimulus checks), small business loans and airline aid. The bill will be voted on as soon as next week.
To reach an agreement, Democrats have reduced their previous proposal by approximately $1 trillion.
The White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin are being pushed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to increase their $1.3 trillion offer by $1 trillion more.
Even as unemployment benefits and PPP loans have lapse, Democrats and Republicans have been unable to agree upon the next coronavirus relief bill.
